Dry Bag

Dry bags are a practical and useful addition to your preparedness kits. Dry bags come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and materials. Most use a roll-top closure to create a water-tight seal. Seal your roll-top bag by folding the Hypalon strip down, rolling it at least three times, and then closing the buckle. Purchase a dry bag slightly larger than your anticipated need. The dry bag can have a number of uses including:

  • Keeping things dry including clothes, electronics, etc.
  • Consider using one as sleeping bag stuff sack
  • Use airtight dry bag to remove air and compress clothes or sleeping bag
  • Carrying water in an emergency situation
  • Seal and use it as a pillow
  • As a container for gathering food, etc.

Select a heavier dry bag that can survive some rough treatment. Always carry patching materials.
