Cordage, such as paracord, is extremely useful but it gets easily tangled if not wound properly. After trying several ways to wind and store cordage I found that hanking works very well. Creating a hank is easy, space efficient, and makes for tangle-free deployment. This is an excellent video that shows how to create and deploy a hank. To deploy the paracord simply pull on the paracord end on the top of the hank. The paracord will deploy quickly and tangle free.
